Our Mission

Our Mission is to encourage positive sibling connections for brothers and sisters living in separate foster or adoptive homes.

At Camp To Belong we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to spend meaningful time with their brothers and sisters. All too often, children living in foster or kinship care are separated from their siblings -- missing out on the special relationship-building moments most of us take for granted.

These are the moments Camp To Belong works to create, so kids living in foster care are able to have positive childhood memories of their own.

Our History

Camp to Belong Indiana was started in 2018 by Leah Edge and Becky Moore in an effort to bring the mission to the Hoosier State. We serve youth from throughout the state of Indiana, primarily those living in the greater Marion County area.

Becky Moore

Becky Moore is retired from teaching, so now she has time to help bring Camp To Belong to Indiana. She was too busy when she saw the founder, Lynn Price, on Oprah’s talk show in the mid 1990’s. Now she is determined to provide this experience for others that she knows she would have loved and benefited from as a child. Becky grew up in foster care in Randolph County, graduated from Indiana University Bloomington, and has a Masters from IUPUI.

She is the mother of three sons who went to Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis and are also graduates and former student-athletes of Indiana University, Purdue University, and Rose-Hulman. Recently, Becky and her husband of over forty years have been enjoying their new roles as grandparents!
